The team is developing its own automated, modular, all-electric factories that can shred fiber from grass to form the structural panels that are used in walls, roofs, and subfloors in construction.
“We’ve launched Factory #1 and proven that we can produce space and defense parts 10 times faster and more efficient than anybody else,” Hadrian founder and CEO Chris Power told CNBC.
The funding round saw investments from the likes of Giant Ventures, Soma Capital and 11.2 Capital, Countdown Capital, Uber Elevate co-founder Nikhil Goel and Cruise Automation.
If the eight person team behind the new startup Hadrian has their way, they’ll have transformed the manufacturing industry within the next decade.
